Infocepts - Microstrategy Developer - SQL / ETL

Job Summary :

We are looking for a skilled MicroStrategy Developer with strong expertise in SQL and hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining Business Intelligence (BI) solutions using MicroStrategy.

The ideal candidate will have 3 to 7 years of experience in BI development, with a deep understanding of data warehousing concepts and the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable reports and Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain MicroStrategy reports, dashboards, and scorecards to support business decision-making.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures to extract, transform, and load data efficiently from multiple sources.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Create and manage MicroStrategy metadata objects such as attributes, facts, hierarchies, filters, and metrics.
• Develop and implement data models to support BI reporting and analytics needs.
• Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of BI reports.
• Optimize MicroStrategy reports and dashboards for performance and scalability.
• Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and enhancement of existing BI solutions.
• Document BI development processes, configurations, and standards to maintain knowledge base and facilitate knowledge transfer.
• Stay updated with the latest MicroStrategy features, BI trends, and industry best practices.
• Work closely with database administrators to ensure smooth data integration and performance Skills and Qualifications :
• 3 to 7 years of professional experience as a MicroStrategy Developer or BI Developer.
• Strong proficiency in SQL with experience in writing complex queries, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with MicroStrategy Desktop, MicroStrategy Web, and MicroStrategy Architect.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, star / snowflake schemas, and ETL processes.
• Experience in creating MicroStrategy objects : attributes, facts, metrics, filters, and hierarchies.
• Ability to design and implement dashboards, reports, and visualizations that effectively communicate insights.
• Familiarity with other BI tools and data visualization platforms is a plus.
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or Teradata.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) for automation is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
