We are seeking a passionate School Nutritionist and Cafeteria Manager to promote and maintain the health and nutritional well-being of our students. As a School Nutritionist, you will be responsible for ensuring that our students have access to healthy, balanced meals, and nutrition education.
About the Role : The School Nutritionist will play a crucial role in designing and implementing nutrition programs that cater to the needs of students while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities :
- Nutrition & Menu Planning
- Design age-appropriate, balanced menus aligned with child nutrition standards.
- Incorporate local, seasonal, and healthy food options.
- Conduct nutrition awareness programs for students, parents, and staff.
- Regularly review menus based on feedback to ensure meal variety, appeal, and satisfaction.
- Cafeteria Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day cafeteria operations including food preparation, quality control, and service.
- Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the kitchen team.
- Monitor meal service efficiency to minimize wait times and enhance student satisfaction.
- Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and FSSAI regulations.
- Conduct periodic hygiene and safety audits, implementing corrective measures where needed.
- Ensure allergy and dietary restrictions are documented, monitored, and adhered to.
- Team & Vendor Management
- Supervise and guide cafeteria staff, including chefs, servers, and support personnel.
- Conduct training on nutrition, hygiene, safety, and customer service.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate pricing, and ensure consistent quality of supplies.
- Administration, Feedback & Reporting
- Monitor cafeteria budgets, expenses, and ensure cost-effective operations.
- Maintain accurate records of menu cycles, inventory, audits, and food safety logs.
- Conduct regular student and staff satisfaction surveys to measure meal quality and service standards.
- Establish mechanisms to track, resolve, and reduce food-related complaints.
- Provide monthly operational and feedback reports to school leadership.
- Support special school events with customized food and beverage arrangements.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.Strong understanding of child and adolescent nutrition.
