Responsibilities :
Procurement Strategy Development :
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project requirements and budgetary constraints.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to achieve optimal procurement outcomes.
Supplier Relationship Management :
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and vendors.Evaluate supplier performance and conduct regular vendor assessments to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.Contract Negotiation and Management :
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers and contractors.Review terms and conditions to mitigate risks and ensure favorable terms for the organization.Budget and Cost Control :
Monitor procurement budgets and expenditures.Implement cost control measures and track savings achieved through effective procurement practices.Project Coordination :
Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and timelines.Coordinate procurement activities to support project milestones and deadlines.Compliance and Risk Management :
Ensure procurement activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.Team Leadership and Development :
Lead a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and support.Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the procurement team.Qualifications :
Bachelors degree, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or a related field. (Master's degree preferred)Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or similar role in the construction industry.In-depth knowledge of construction procurement processes, including sourcing, bidding, and contract management.Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and contractors.Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite.Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.Skills Required
