A Business Development Manager (BDM) in interior design drives sales by identifying new leads, cultivating client relationships, and closing deals through tailored proposals and presentations. This role requires strong networking, presentation, and negotiation skills to build partnerships with architects, designers, and clients, all while collaborating with internal design teams to deliver successful projects and meet revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities :
Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities by networking and developing new client leads within the B2C and B2B sectors.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with potential and existing clients, architects, designers, and other stakeholders.
Collaborate with design teams to understand client needs and develop persuasive presentations and proposals that showcase the company's portfolio and capabilities.
Effectively negotiate contracts and manage the sales process to convert leads into confirmed projects and achieve sales targets.
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging design concepts to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
Work closely with design, marketing, and project management teams to ensure smooth project execution, client satisfaction, and a collaborative work environment.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) like revenue growth and client acquisition and prepare regular reports for management on business development activities.
Qualifications & Skills
Graduate / Post Graduate degree in Business, Marketing, Interior Design, or a related field.
Proven track record of minimum 2 years in business development, sales, client acquisition, or a similar role, with experience in the interior design, luxury real estate, or construction industry preferred.
