The position holder is responsible for the overall performance of the assigned region. The primary purpose is to assist the company to achieve its goals and objectives in the region. The role would work to improve productivity, customer relations and service levels and increasing the business footprint and overall brand image of the organization in the given region.
Accountabilities
Drive Sales, Profitability and Gross Margin Growth :
- Responsible to drive area sales and profit plans to budget through successful leadership, organizational plans, customer relationship, and outstanding execution of all field operations strategies, consistently across all client locations in the region.
- Know and manage the business by effectively using sales reports, assessing departmental results, and developing specific actions directly related to operations, business development and growth, consistently across the region
- Responsible to ensure that all employees of the region are current and up to date with UDS offerings through a commitment to formalized training and development within prescribed timelines and standards.
- Accountable to ensure that trends of underperformance are formally addressed, with clear and documented performance improvement plans
- Manage the regional gross profit as per the organisation goals and report profitability working with the corporate F&A Teams
- Support implementation of all technology advancements at regional level
- Responsible for generating periodical regional dashboards, cash flow status, profitability, attrition, growth, new business and other related MIS
- Promoting use of Digital Tools with all clients
- Documenting client feedback at regular interval
Customer Engagement :
Customer engagement must be driven with focus on quality, ideas, acknowledgment and inspiration, which leads to an emotional and loyal brand / customer attachment in the region.Set high expectations for excellent customer service and hold the management team accountable to the measurable results associated.Responsible to manage all clients consistently towards acceptable customer service scores and feedback.Conduct client site visits to assess the conditions and recommend changes and document the requirements and improvementsNew Client Presentation :
Client interfacing presentations must be point of differentiation aimed at getting a client excited about the uniqueness of the offering, the possibilities that may exist, convincing the customer on Uds capabilities and the solutions offered which leads to a WOW factor.Lead the Business Development team of the region by guiding, mentoring and training them to create the same WOW factor upon their first interactions with the clients.Leadership and People Management :
Ensure the overall people plan of the area reflects high standards, bench and succession planning, coupled with consistent mentoring and people development.Coordinate with, mentor and motivate sales and operations teams and region leadership team to help them achieve their targets and retain the talentResponsible to consistently and effectively communicate the company objectives to complete region management team through organized and scheduled conference calls and email communicationConduct periodic performance evaluations to ensure that their team is on the right path to achieving their goals.Key Skills / Experience Required
Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in a leadership role.Should have good strategic planning skills to lead the region in the recommended directionShould have exceptional leadership and collaboration skillsShould showcase resilience and professionalismGood communication skills with excellent oratory / public speaking skillsGoal orientationMentoring and TrainingStrong analytical skills and skills in forecasting and Project ManagementPrioritization of organizational needsMinimum Education Qualifications Required
Proven track record in the field of business operations.Proven track record as a business leader in similar industry or Logistics Industry and should have managed a business volume of minimum 500 crores PALocation : Chennai
