The Technical Sales Manager, reporting to Sales Director, will be responsible for driving sales growth by combining technical expertise with strategic business development. This role requires a strong understanding of process technologies, customer needs, and market trends to deliver tailored solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with the technology specialists, sales, engineering, and operations teams to ensure proposals are submitted with sufficient technical and commercial details, help drive innovative solutions, promote brand awareness, and support test work and engineering studies.
Duties And Responsibilities
Process Design, Proposal Management and Technical Support :
- Review client specifications and bid requirements to identify areas of technical and commercial concern that should be addressed in our estimate and proposal.
- Develop budget and firm proposals, ensuring they effectively communicate the value proposition and technical benefits of JordProxa's solutions.
- Develop process design package including heat and mass balance, equipment selections and utilities, and collaborate where necessary with Technology Specialists
- Work with the drawing office to develop technical deliverables for the bid including PFDs, P&IDs, GA drawings
Customer Engagement And Sales Support
Meet and correspond frequently with other members of the sales team to ensure proposals are tailored to meet a customer's requirements and the agreed sales strategy.Work closely with customers to define requirements and provide technical insights.Participate in key sales and technical meetings with customers where scope, cost, and technical content may need to be clarified and adjusted to obtain a winning offerEstimates
Work closely with the estimating team to prepare estimates using agreed processes and templates for firm, budget, and feasibility offers.R&D And Process Improvements
Maintain an active interest in new technology which is relevant to JordProxa's product portfolio and which aligns with market trends that you help identifyParticipate in discussions with the Sales and R&D teams to align technology with market needs.Seek to enhance the speed and accuracy of proposal preparation through optimization and process improvement initiatives.Operations & Customer Follow-Up
Maintain appropriate links with the Operations team to obtain feedback on projects which you helped sell.While you are not responsible for final project margins, you should take an interest in their successful execution.Skills And Experience
Undergraduate degree in Process / Chemical Engineering10-15 years of experience in designing process plants. Experience with crystallization and evaporation plant design, operation, or commissioning is beneficial.Demonstrated skills at preparing well-written and compelling technical documents.Experience in the design of integrated process systems.Proficiency in reviewing PFDs, P&IDs, plant GA drawings, and 3D designs.A proactive and positive attitude focused on business development and supporting fellow staff throughout pre-award and execution phases.Knowledge of chemical / process design and simulation software would be beneficial.Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.Focus on quality and provision of value to the Company and our clientsSkills Required
