Key Job Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage a team of maintenance personnel responsible for utility systems, including HVAC, refrigeration, compressed air, steam, and water systems.
2. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for utility systems to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
3. Conduct regular inspections, monitoring, and testing of utility systems to identify and address potential issues proactively.
4. Troubleshoot and diagnose utility system malfunctions, determine root causes, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
5. Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure uninterrupted utility services to support production and operations.
6. Develop and maintain documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and maintenance records, to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
7. Monitor and analyze performance data, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements to optimize efficiency and reliability of utility systems.
8. Coordinate with vendors and contractors for equipment installations, upgrades, and repairs, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
9. Provide technical expertise and guidance to maintenance personnel, and participate in training and development efforts.
10. Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, codes, and standards in all utility maintenance activities.
11. Participate in emergency response activities and resolve utility system issues in a timely and efficient manner.
12. Monitor and manage utility system-related expenses, budgets, and inventory to ensure cost-effective operations.
13. Maintain a safe and clean work environment, and promote safe work practices among maintenance personnel. Supervises employees making repairs, provides guidance and routine inspections of their work Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation
14. Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities Keeps records on equipment life cycle for Capital Replacement Plan.
15. Coordinates work between consultants, vendors and contractors on plant repairs, equipment installations and improvement projects keeping management updated on issues and progress
16. Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
17. Controlling various utility process parameters
18. MIS report for Utility generation and power consumption
