Purpose :
The role holder is responsible for leading a team of Group Operations team to process new business and end to end policy servicing for group business
Context :
The role holder will work within the Operations Department focusing on Group New Business & Policy Servicing to provide exceptional customer services
Main Priorities :
- Coordinate with Sales and Actuarial teams for closure of individual Group processes
- Accomplish issuance of policies and resolution of customer and intermediary queries
- Ensure that an efficient, effective, professional and courteous service is provided to intermediaries and customers
- Ensure that established Company procedures are compiled with in a consistent manner, and contribute to the introduction of improvements whenever possible
- Implement and maintain agreed quality and quantity controls, which will aid pro – active management and the anticipation of problems
- Supervise and train an effective team that is able to meet the business needs of the Company as they grow with time
- Coordinate with finance for reconciliation of policy account balance
- Lead transformation and digitization of group business
Qualifications & Experience - :
MBA / ACII with a minimum of 8 – 10 years' experience gained in customer Services or Operations Department . Associate of Insurance Institute will be added advantage
Skills / Knowledge :
Good experience of operations in the financial services industry.Experience within the Group Operation department of an Insurance company is a must.Experience in data processing to deliver operational efficiencyComputer skills in using databases and office management software including word processors and spreadsheets.Strong leadership, team building and influencing skillsSkills Required
