Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mainframe Developer with deep expertise in COBOL, DB2, and stored procedures. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in database analysis, data access design, and batch programming within a mainframe environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize mainframe applications that are critical to our business operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain COBOL programs and DB2 stored procedures.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into efficient technical solutions within the mainframe ecosystem.
- Perform detailed database analysis and implement robust data access mechanisms.
- Develop and support DB2 batch processing jobs using JCL.
- Write efficient SQL and embedded SQL for high-performance data access.
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of mainframe programs and SQL queries.
- Utilize BMC tools and Omegamon for monitoring and performance diagnostics.
- Interact with MQ Series for messaging and integration with other systems.
- Utilize ISPF / TSO for application development and debugging.
- Collaborate with QA and business teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production and non-production environments.
