Position : Mainframe Developer

Experience : 4-8 Years

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with 4-8 years of development experience and a strong background in mainframe technologies.

The ideal candidate will be a proficient developer with expertise in Cobol, JCL, DB2, and VSAM.

This role is critical for the design, build, and delivery of mainframe applications, requiring strong logic-building skills and hands-on experience in both development and issue resolution.

You will play a key part in the full development lifecycle, ensuring all solutions meet architectural standards and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

Development & Build Execution :

  • Design and build robust mainframe applications, ensuring all code is clean, efficient, and well-documented.
  • Utilize strong logic-building skills to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from design to final delivery.

Maintenance & Support :

  • Provide expert-level support for issue analysis and resolution, including debugging and circumvention for production issues.
  • Ensure all technology solutions are compliant with architectural standards and best practices.

    • Technical Proficiency :

  • Apply a strong working knowledge of core mainframe technologies, including Cobol, JCL, DB2, TSO, and VSAM.

    • Required Skills & Qualifications :

    Core Experience :

  • 4 to 8 years of professional development experience with mainframe skill sets.

    • Mandatory Technical Skills :

  • Strong knowledge of Cobol, JCL, DB2, TSO, and VSAM.
  • Proven exposure to enhancement and development projects.
  • Hands-on experience with issue analysis, resolution, and debugging of production issues.

    • Professional Attributes :

  • Excellent logic-building and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work within the full development lifecycle.

    • Preferred Skills :

  • Experience with IMS and CICS.
