MEP Deputy Project Manager

Job Summary

The MEP Deputy Project Manager (DPM) is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) activities at the civil construction site. The DPM will ensure that all MEP systems are designed, installed, tested, and commissioned according to project requirements, safety standards, and timelines, while maintaining coordination with civil and structural works.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in planning, managing, and supervising MEP-related works on the construction site.
• Coordinate with MEP consultants, subcontractors, and internal civil teams to ensure seamless integration of MEP and civil works.
• Review and validate MEP drawings, material submittals, shop drawings, and ensure compliance with project specifications and local codes.
• Monitor daily progress, quality, and safety of MEP installation and testing activities.
• Resolve site issues related to MEP systems in coordination with other disciplines.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing work schedules, procurement plans, and look-ahead programs for MEP scope.
• Track and report project progress, delays, and mitigation measures to the Project Manager.
• Support in technical meetings, inspections, and coordination with clients, consultants, and local authorities.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations during MEP installation and commissioning.
• Participate in testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.
