Senior Recruiter – Healthcare Industry

Key Responsibilities
- Manage full recruitment lifecycle for healthcare positions : Doctors, nurses, therapists, technicians, allied health staff, administrative & support roles.
- Collaborate with department heads / clinical leadership to define job requirements, competencies, and hiring plans.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies (including passive candidate identification, referrals, job boards, social media, networking).
- Screen resumes, conduct interviews, evaluate candidates based on skills, experience, cultural fit.
- Maintain candidate pipelines for key roles; ensure timely follow-ups and excellent candidate experience.
- Negotiate offers, manage candidate expectations, handle counter-offers.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and labor laws (licensing, certifications, background checks).
- Maintain recruiting metrics (time to fill, quality of hire, cost per hire, diversity metrics) and report regularly.
- Drive employer branding in the healthcare space : represent employer at job fairs, healthcare recruiting events, professional associations.
- Mentor / coach junior recruiters; possibly manage a small recruiting team.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience : 5-8+ years (or appropriate seniority) in recruitment, with at least 2-3 years specialized in healthcare staffing / hiring clinical / allied health roles.Deep understanding of roles in healthcare : licensure requirements, regulatory environment, credentialing processes.Strong sourcing skills : Boolean searches, LinkedIn, niche healthcare job boards.Excellent interviewing & assessment skills.Strong stakeholder management : ability to interact with senior clinical leadership, HR, operations.Good negotiation skills; understanding salary bands / compensation in healthcare.High attention to detail; ability to manage compliance (background checks, work authorizations, certifications).Good project management : able to handle multiple searches concurrently.Data-driven : able to use recruiting metrics to assess efficiency & quality.Excellent communication skills (verbal + written).Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience recruiting in hospital, clinic, or health system setting.Experience with ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems – e.g. Workday, Avature, Greenhouse etc.).Knowledge of healthcare accreditation & standards (e.g., JCI, NABH, etc.).Key Competencies
