Job Overview :
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager Export Sales to drive the growth of our international market presence. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in Channel Sales or Industrial Product Sales, particularly in tools, small equipment, or related industries. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in B2B sales, dealer development, and managing export operations across regions like the US and Europe.
Key Responsibilities :
- Export Sales Strategy : Develop and execute export sales strategies to increase market share in the US, Europe, and other international regions.
- B2B Sales Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, dealers, and key business partners, driving sales growth through channel sales.
- Dealer Development : Lead the development and expansion of the dealer network, ensuring they meet business objectives and adhere to company standards.
- International Market Expansion : Identify new business opportunities and markets for expansion, and spearhead initiatives to enhance our product presence globally.
- Product Knowledge & Positioning : Deep understanding of industrial tools, equipment, and small machinery to effectively communicate product benefits and value propositions to customers.
- Team Leadership : Manage and mentor the export sales team, setting clear targets and fostering a culture of performance and accountability.
- Market Analysis : Conduct regular market research to stay ahead of industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Customer Relations : Build long-lasting relationships with key international customers, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and repeat business.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, logistics, and product development to ensure seamless execution of international sales strategies.
Desired Skills and Qualifications :
Experience : 18-25 years in Export Sales, Channel Sales, or Industrial Product Sales (tools, equipment, machinery) with a strong focus on B2B sales.Travel Experience : Proven experience in international markets, particularly in the US and Europe.Leadership : Strong leadership skills with experience in managing teams and driving results in a competitive global market.Dealer & Channel Development : Demonstrated success in developing and growing dealer networks and channel partners.Strategic Thinking : Ability to think strategically and drive business growth by identifying opportunities in international markets.Excellent Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence key stakeholders.Cultural Sensitivity : Understanding of cultural differences and business etiquette in global markets, especially in the US and Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).At least 18-25 years of experience in export sales and business development within the industrial sector.(ref : iimjobs.com)
