The Electrical Estimation & Billing Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and billing documentation for electrical projects. The ideal candidate should have a BE or Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 4 to 5 years of relevant experience. This role requires strong knowledge of electrical systems, project costing, and billing procedures to ensure timely and precise financial management of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed electrical cost estimates for projects based on specifications, drawings, and client requirements.
- Analyze project scope and material requirements to develop accurate budget forecasts.
- Coordinate with procurement, project management, and finance teams to ensure alignment of estimates and billing.
- Prepare and verify billing documents, invoices, and payment certifications for electrical work completed.
- Review contracts, purchase orders, and change orders to ensure billing accuracy.
- Track project costs and report any discrepancies or cost overruns to management.
- Liaise with clients and contractors regarding billing queries and clarifications.
- Maintain documentation related to estimates and billing for record-keeping and audits.
- Stay updated on industry standards, pricing trends, and best practices.
