Role Summary
The Sales Trainer Manager is responsible for designing, delivering, and managing training programs that enhance the sales performance of the Admissions & Outreach teams at Chandigarh University. The role focuses on improving communication, counseling, sales conversion, and customer-handling skills to ensure high-quality engagement with prospective students and partners.
Key Responsibilities
1. Training Program Development
- Design comprehensive sales training modules tailored for admissions counselors, outreach executives, and regional teams.
- Develop training content on sales processes, objection handling, lead conversion, CRM usage, communication skills, and university program knowledge.
- Create onboarding training programs for new team members.
2. Training Delivery
Conduct regular classroom training, virtual sessions, workshops, and role-plays.Train teams on sales pitching, counseling techniques, product knowledge, and customer service best practices.Facilitate refresher sessions to strengthen skills and correct performance gaps.3. Performance Monitoring & Coaching
Evaluate individual and team performance through assessments, audits, and call monitoring.Identify training needs using performance data, conversion metrics, and feedback from managers.Provide coaching, one-on-one mentoring, and improvement plans for low performers.4. Sales Process & Quality Improvement
Standardize sales scripts, counseling frameworks, and follow-up guidelines.Ensure adherence to the university’s sales processes, compliance, and brand communication standards.Collaborate with sales leadership to optimize lead flow, conversion strategies, and customer experience.5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Admissions, Outreach, Marketing, and Regional Offices for training alignment.Coordinate with academic departments to ensure trainers and counselors have updated program knowledge.Support marketing or campaign teams with training on new initiatives or products.6. Reporting & Documentation
Maintain training records, attendance, assessments, and progress reports.Track the impact of training programs on sales performance and conversion rates.Prepare monthly / quarterly training effectiveness reports for senior management.Skills & Competencies

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Management / Marketing preferred.5–10 years of experience in sales training, sales management, or L&D—preferably in education, EdTech, or service sector.Proven experience in improving sales performance through structured training.
