Search Engine Optimization Manager

Job descriptionOptimize content, metadata, internal linking, and site structure for improved visibility. Work closely with content writers to ensure keyword relevance and SEO-friendly formatting. Maintain SEO hygiene across all pages and templates (category, product, blog, etc.). Collaborate with developers to ensure SEO best practices around speed, crawlability, indexation, structured data, and mobile UX. Monitor and resolve crawl errors, broken links, redirects, and sitemap issues using tools like GSC, Screaming Frog, and Ahrefs. Link-Building & Off-Page SEO Develop and implement ethical link-building strategies to increase domain authority. Identify and pursue PR and guest posting opportunities. Monitor backlink profile and manage toxic link disavowals. Support content planning with SEO-driven topic research and intent analysis. Help create and maintain content calendars for blog, landing pages, and educational content. Use tools like Google Analytics, GSC, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and Looker Studio. Prepare monthly SEO performance dashboards and share insights with stakeholders. Strong understanding of Google algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO trends. Hands-on expertise in keyword research, on-page optimization, and link building. Experience conducting technical SEO audits and implementing fixes. Comfortable working cross-functionally with engineering, product, and content teams. Analytical mindset with a solid grasp of data visualization and reporting. Familiarity with CMS systems like WordPress, Webflow, or Shopify is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or related field. 4–7 years of SEO experience (in-house or agency). Proven track record of driving organic traffic growth and ranking improvements. Experience in fast-paced startups, e-commerce, or D2C brands preferred. Experience in the clean tech or renewable energy industry. Familiarity with local SEO and managing city-based landing pages. Knowledge of JavaScript SEO and Core Web Vitals optimization. Role Overview
