Job Description :
- Lead and mentor a team of FPGA IP design engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence
- Drive the architecture, design, verification, and implementation of soft IP cores for FPGA platform
- Module-level IP design contributor with system-level expertise
- Collaborate with product management, hardware, and software teams to define IP requirements and specifications
- Oversee project planning, resource allocation, and execution to meet delivery timelines and quality standards
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in IP design and verification
- Provide technical guidance and resolve complex design challenges
- Support customer engagements, including technical presentations and issue resolution
Requirements / Qualifications :
BSEE / MSEE under Electronics or Electronics / Telecommunications Engineering department15+ years relevant digital IP / SoC Design experienceRequired Skills
Proficiency in RTL design skills with Verilog, VHDL and System Verilog hardware coding languagesDeep understanding of digital design principles, synthesis, timing analysis, and verification methodologiesExpert user of different tools for the development of IP such as synthesis, simulation, linting, CDC, etc.Typically, responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other EngineersUnderstand Standard Specifications / the functional specifications / feature enhancements for the product and create micro-architecture and detailed design for the IP cores in protocol areas such as AMBA (AMBA2, AXI) / SD / eMMC / DDR / PCIe / Ethernet / MIPI / DSPs - FFT, FIR and Avionics - 1553Experience working on high-speed protocols such as Ethernet, JESD, PCIe, DDR, USB, etc.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.Experience with scripting languages (TCL, Python, etc.) is a plusFamiliarity with hardware / software co-design and embedded systems is desirable At Microchip, we strive to provide opportunities that create significant development experiences and a sense of ownership directly impacting customer success.
