This role is for a Sales & Application Manager with a strong background in pharmaceutical / biotechnology analytical instrumentation. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales and providing comprehensive support for validation hardware and software products within the Life Sciences market, specifically targeting Pharmaceutical and Biotech segments.
Responsibilities
- Build and execute a territory Orders & Sales plan focused on driving market growth and penetration within Pharmaceutical and Biotech accounts.
- Develop deep technical and market expertise on products and applications, utilizing this knowledge to provide both pre- and post-sales support for key accounts.
- Accurately forecast Orders and Sales bookings on a weekly basis.
- Prepare and conduct compelling sales presentations , addressing all relevant areas up to the client's board level.
- Demonstrate technical equipment and provide customers with essential technical pre-sales support.
- Identify opportunities in existing and new accounts and actively support third-party channels.
- Identify and target decision-making and buying centers within client organizations.
- Establish clear objectives and action plans for the assigned territory, maintaining up-to-date customer databases.
- Develop strong individual working relationships with customers, gaining in-depth knowledge of their needs.
- Cultivate and maintain in-depth expertise of key applications within Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences markets.
- Recommend and participate in relevant trade shows and local industry associations .
- Provide management with continuous market intelligence through monthly reports, observations of customer needs, and competitive activities.
- Recommend actions needed to improve market share in the region.
- Closely interact with and report to the India Sales Account Manager.
- Act as a customer's advocate, providing after-sale troubleshooting and support for any issues.
- Support the service profit center to grow revenue.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills
Strong sales expertise in selling analytical instrumentation .Proven industrial technical understanding and expertise in instrumentation and validation .Excellent problem-solving and change agent capabilities with a 'can-do' attitude.Excellent verbal and written communication , particularly sales presentation skills .Strong ability to understand customer's business-critical processes with an external focus.Knowledge of the customer base in the assigned region.Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or equivalent.Relevant sales experience, especially in selling process or analytical instrumentation into the Pharmaceutical Industry .Skills Required
