Staff Accountant II

Responsibilities will include

• Provide required data and supporting schedules to external auditors during periodic audits ensuring completeness and accuracy of documentation.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly and annual closing of books including preparation of journal entries accruals and reconciliations.
• Perform regular reconciliation of all general ledger (GL) accounts identify discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Manage and monitor Prepaid GL Accounts to ensure proper amortization and periodic adjustments.
• Conduct first-level verification of accounting entriesPerform Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) in the ERP system to ensure proper alignment of bank balances with accounting records.
• Provide detailed analysis and explanations for variances unusual transactions and significant balance movements.
• Maintain strict adherence to internal accounting controls by following defined policies procedures and compliance guidelines.
• Process vendor payments in a timely and accurate manner ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
• Making vendor paymentsAssist in preparation of primary data for statutory filings including GST returns tax audit support and other local compliance requirements.
• Support management in preparing financial reports as required for decision making and business performance review.
• Work closely with Mananger Accounting to identify process improvement opportunities and implement system automations.
• Support projects related to system implementations or process enhancements within the Finance & Accounting function.
