As a Tool Design Engineer , you will work closely with Plant Manufacturing Engineering team, Plant Virtual Manufacturing team to align and deliver the tool design solutions for upcoming Product and Process Projects.
Primary Responsibilities
- Investigate production equipment solutions and develop new or modify existing equipment designs
- Design, develop and implement mechanical equipment and tools, layouts and simulation models
- Develop and maintain standards within the virtual area
- Contact with equipment stakeholders and collecting requirements
- Contact with suppliers on digital model issues, manufacturability of tools and other requirements collection and align with the same.

Diploma with Tool Design / B.Tech in Mechanical Engg.4+ years of Tool design experience from the manufacturing industryWork exposure in BIW is an advantage.Good knowledge of Lean Manufacturing PrinciplesGood knowledge of Manufacturing and Assembly ProcessGood understanding of Engineering Drawing reading, Drawing standards.Good knowledge and skills in digital tools (Creo / CATIA / 3DX / Process Simulator) in the Virtual areaRequirements : Skills and Competence
