Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing
Engineering or a related field with 4-10 years relevant work
experience
Professional certification in tool engineering or a related
discipline.
Ability to perform tolerance stack up analysis and full
understanding of GD&T.
Thorough knowledge of material properties and
manufacturing processes & Material selction.
Experience with tooling for specific manufacturing processes
such as injection molding, stamping, machining, Specialized
finishing, laser welding.
Experience in tool room with surface grinders, milling
machine, drilling machine, and supporting equipment's for
Tool development and maintenance.
Tooling material selection according to the product
requirements.
Work as part of a fast-paced design engineering team taking
part in DFMEAs, PFMEAs, and other risk management events
Experience in ERP linked monitoring system for tool life and
maintenance history.
Proficient in Auto CAD, Solid works 2025 & 3D Quick process
to suit any customer requirements.
All Microsoft Office software including Project 2010 or later
Design and develop Sheet Metal tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures
to support manufacturing processes
Tooling Solution provided according to the production
requirements and specifications.
Actively participate in the process of new product
development
Conduct simulations and tests to ensure tool functionality
and durability
Tooling Design in line with standard tooling structure.
Implement cost-effective and efficient tool production
methods
Review and critique 2D drawings and develop and manage
tooling specifications
Support all first article inspection requirements for tooling,
prototyping, and PPAP events as part of the design lifecycle
