Position : Asst. Manager / Manager – Sales & Business Development
Base Location : Chennai (for local candidate only)
Language (Mandatory) : English, Hindi anywhere (for Chennai location, Tamil if placed)
Responsibilities
- Fine new opportunities / leads (inbound and outbound enquiries) in renewable and Green Hydrogen space by physical / virtual meeting with clients, presentation, participation in conferences, exhibitions, relevant events, brand promotion, etc.
- Build and maintain strong, professional business relationships with all clients in line with TÜV SÜD’s standards, business ethics, and Code of Conduct.
- Identifying leads, opportunities generation and follow-up for RFQs / TOR ensuring avg. client retention rate of over 85%.
- Develop a new client base and actively generate, strengthen, and expand the sales pipeline.
- Responsible for preparing competitive and technically compliant proposals, bids, and quotations in line with client requirements, organizational capabilities, and market strategies. This role involves close coordination with sales, technical, procurement, project management, and operations teams to ensure timely and high-quality submission of tenders.
- Conducting market research to understand industry trends, identify new opportunities, and evaluate competitor activities.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to plan and execute branding activities, ensure participation in relevant industry events, and support or actively engage in marketing campaigns.
- Be result oriented to achieve the allocated monthly, half yearly and yearly sales target aligned with the organizational goal.
- Present monthly performance reports on sales plan versus actual achievements during management sales review calls.
- Maintaining and updating CRM systems with client information.
- Be prepared to take on any additional sales and business development related responsibilities, embracing new challenges and opportunities with a positive attitude as whenever required by the management / reporting authority.
