Key Responsibilities :
Clinical Care :
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking detailed medical histories and performing physical examinations.
- Assist in diagnosing and managing patients' medical conditions under the guidance of senior medical staff.
- Coordinate and facilitate patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, ensuring that patient needs are met.
- Administer treatments and procedures as prescribed, including medications, injections, and wound care, under supervision.
- Participate in the development and implementation of individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and report changes in their condition to supervising clinicians.
- Assist in diagnostic procedures, such as laboratory tests, imaging studies, and sample collection, ensuring correct processes and handling.
- Provide support during medical or surgical procedures, including prepping the patient, assisting with instruments, and providing post-procedure care.
- Ensure proper documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes in medical records.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration :
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, and specialists to ensure holistic care for patients.Participate in daily rounds, case discussions, and team meetings to stay updated on patient care strategies.Act as a liaison between patients, family members, and medical professionals to ensure clear communication regarding patient conditions and treatment plans.Training & Supervision :
Mentor and provide guidance to junior clinical staff, medical students, and other healthcare professionals in clinical and procedural settings.Stay current with medical practices, hospital protocols, and guidelines, ensuring compliance with institutional standards and regulations.Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education (CME) activities.Patient & Family Education :
Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment plans, and preventive healthcare measures.Offer emotional and psychological support to patients and their families, particularly in complex or challenging medical situations.Qualifications and Experience :
Educational Qualification :MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.Completion of medical internship or equivalent training.Additional certifications or training in relevant medical fields (desirable).Experience :2+ years of experience in a clinical or healthcare environment (can be adjusted based on requirements).Experience in specific specialties (e.g., General Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics) is a plus.Licensure :Valid medical registration with the relevant medical council or regulatory body.Key Skills :
Strong clinical knowledge in a specific medical field (e.g., surgery, internal medicine, pediatrics).Ability to perform basic medical procedures and assist in more complex medical tasks.Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.Proficiency in medical documentation and use of hospital information systems (e.g., EMR / EHR).Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.Empathetic and compassionate approach to patient care.Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced clinical environment.Desirable Attributes :
