About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager / Sales Manager South to lead revenue generation efforts across key territories in South India. The candidate must have deep experience in consultative selling within the ITeS space, particularly targeting banks, financial institutions, NBFCs, fintech firms, and GCCs. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment and has strong connections in the BFSI sector.
Key Responsibilities
1. Revenue Generation & Business Expansion
- Own and drive the sales strategy for assigned territories across South India.
- Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Close complex B2B deals, especially in the banking and financial services domain, with clear articulation of value propositions for digital transformation, ITeS, and managed services.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling to increase account value.
2. Market Penetration & Lead Generation
Develop and execute a robust lead generation plan leveraging both traditional and digital channels.Utilize tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM systems, and data analytics for targeting prospects and nurturing leads.Drive cold calling, email campaigns, and outbound strategies tailored to decision-makers (CIOs, CTOs, Heads of Innovation, etc.) in BFSI and fintech.3. Sales Forecasting, Reporting & Pipeline Management
Maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline via CRM (Salesforce, Zoho, HubSpot, etc.).Prepare and deliver weekly / monthly forecasts, funnel analysis, and account strategy documents to leadership.Identify deal blockers early and work with technical and delivery teams to resolve them proactively.4. Strategic Client Engagement
Build deep relationships with key stakeholders at target accounts.Conduct client discovery workshops, stakeholder presentations, and RFP / RFI discussions.Serve as a trusted advisor by staying abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes (like RBI guidelines), and emerging technologies in BFSI and financial digitization.5. Proposal & Solutioning Collaboration
Collaborate with pre-sales and solution architects to design tailored proposals.Participate in preparing proposals, pricing models, SoWs, and contracts in line with the clients strategic goals.Ensure all client requirements are understood and documented for seamless transition to delivery teams.6. Team Management & Collaboration
Mentor and guide junior sales executives or business development associates where applicable.Collaborate with marketing, delivery, and leadership teams to drive brand visibility and solution positioning in the South region.Required Skills & Background
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Technology, or a related field.MBA or relevant post-graduate qualification is preferred.Technical & Domain Skills
Deep understanding of BFSI workflows, digital transformation needs, and regulatory landscape in India.Familiarity with ITeS offerings such as :Process Automation (RPA / IPA)Core Banking IntegrationsCRM & ERP ImplementationsKYC / AML and Risk Analytics SolutionsProficient in using CRM, sales analytics tools, and productivity platforms (Google Workspace, MS Office Suite, Power BI / Tableau for reporting).Soft Skills
