Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Executive to establish and nurture strategic partnerships with schools, colleges, and universities. The primary focus of this role will be to forge tie-ups that facilitate the adoption of our career services within these institutions, leading to significant lead generation and business growth. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, coupled with a deep understanding of the education sector.
Key Responsibilities :
- Partnership Development :
- Identify, research, and prospect potential schools, colleges, and universities for strategic partnerships.
- Initiate contact with key decision-makers (e.g., Principals, Deans, Department Heads, Admissions Officers, Placement Officers) and present our value proposition effectively.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential partnerships.
- Negotiate and finalize mutually beneficial agreements and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with educational institutions.
- Collaborate with legal and internal teams to ensure all agreements are compliant and in line with company policies.
- Manage and nurture existing relationships with partner institutions to ensure long-term engagement and satisfaction.
- Lead Generation & Sales :
- Work closely with partner institutions to generate high-quality leads for our [product / service]. This may involve organizing workshops, seminars, career fairs, or on-campus promotional activities.
- Develop and execute strategies to convert generated leads into enrollments / sales.
- Achieve and exceed monthly / quarterly targets for tie-ups and lead generation.
- Track and report on lead conversion rates and partnership effectiveness.
- Market Research & Strategy :
- Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes within the education sector.
- Provide insights and feedback to the product and marketing teams to refine offerings and go-to-market strategies.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for expanding our reach within the education segment.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration :
- Liaise with the Marketing team to develop compelling marketing collateral and campaigns tailored for educational institutions.
- Collaborate with the Operations / Delivery team to ensure seamless execution of programs and services for partner institutions and their students.
- Work closely with the Sales team to ensure a smooth handover of qualified leads.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Education, or a related field. MBA is a plus.2 to 4 years of proven experience in Business Development, Sales, or Partnerships, with a strong preference for experience in the EdTech or Education sector.Demonstrated success in forging partnerships with schools, colleges, or universities.Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales / lead generation targets.Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven with a strong work ethic.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.Willingness to travel extensively as required.Preferred Skills (Optional) :
Understanding of the International education system and its nuances.Experience with B2B sales cycles.
