Key Responsibilities :
Patient Care & Treatment
- Diagnose, treat, and manage patients with coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, and other cardiovascular conditions.
- Monitor patient progress, recommend interventions, and provide evidence-based care plans.
- Supervise and guide junior doctors, nurses, and allied healthcare staff in the coronary care unit (CCU).
Procedures & Interventions
Perform or assist in cardiac procedures, including catheterization, angioplasty, and stent placement, as applicable.Interpret diagnostic tests such as ECGs, echocardiograms, and stress tests.Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and clinical guidelines during interventions.Collaboration & Coordination
Work closely with cardiologists, surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.Coordinate with hospital staff for patient admissions, discharge planning, and post-procedure follow-up.Participate in case discussions, clinical rounds, and departmental meetings.Quality & Compliance
Maintain accurate patient records, treatment plans, and reports.Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, ethical standards, and hospital policies.Implement best practices in patient safety, infection control, and clinical protocols.Research & Continuous Learning
Keep updated with latest advancements in cardiology and coronary care.Participate in clinical research, audits, and continuing medical education (CME) programs.Contribute to the development of protocols and guidelines for coronary care.Required Qualifications :
MBBS with MD / DM in Cardiology or equivalent specialization.1–5 years of experience in coronary care or cardiology units.Strong knowledge of cardiac diseases, interventions, and critical care management.Excellent diagnostic, clinical, and decision-making skills.Ability to work under pressure in a critical care environment.Skills Required
