Position Overview :
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Power Systems Engineer to join our Engineering and Delivery team.
The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, integrating, testing, and commissioning hardware and software applications for Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS) and Outage Management Systems (OMS), serving utility clients across the globe.
This role combines technical engineering expertise with software integration skills to support the digital transformation of the power and utility Responsibilities :
System Design & Modeling :
- Extract GIS data and build robust distribution network models for ADMS / OMS solutions.
- Perform CIS data integration to support outage management functionalities.
- Design, configure, and tune power system applications to meet customer-specific requirements.
Implementation & Integration :
Analyze customer requirements, translate them into technical designs, and develop implementation plans.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, hardware, operations) to ensure seamless integration of applications.Provide programming support for engineering tasks and interface with SCADA / DMS / OMS platforms.Testing & Commissioning :
Develop test plans, test cases, and procedures for unit testing, system integration testing, and acceptance testing.Perform and document Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) with customers.Troubleshoot technical issues during commissioning and provide timely resolutions.Documentation & Training :
Prepare high-quality technical documents, including User Guides, Configuration Guides, Design Descriptions, and Release Notes.Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and end-user training to customer teams.Maintain accurate records of system configurations, changes, and updates.Support & Maintenance :
Provide post-deployment support, troubleshoot incidents, and deliver fixes or enhancements as required.Participate in peer reviews, audits, and quality checks of technical deliverables.Contribute to ongoing improvements of existing applications and & Skills :Education :
Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
Technical Skills :
35 years of hands-on experience in SCADA, DMS, or OMS software applications (less with advanced degree).Familiarity with GIS tools, especially for electrical network modeling.Knowledge of databases, data warehousing, and integration concepts.Proficiency in Python or JSON scripting for automation and customization.Strong background in software engineering principles, algorithms, and data structures.Domain Experience (Preferred) :
Prior project execution experience in the electric utility industry.Exposure to outage management workflows, ADMS functions, and grid modernization initiatives.Soft Skills :
