Job Summary :
The Associate Consultant / Consultant – DLP is responsible for implementing, managing, and supporting Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions to protect sensitive data across the organization. This role involves working with security teams to monitor data movement, define DLP policies, and ensure compliance with data protection standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Deploy, configure, and manage DLP tools such as Symantec, Microsoft Purview (MIP), Forcepoint, or McAfee
- Monitor and analyze DLP alerts, investigate incidents, and ensure appropriate remediation
- Define and implement DLP policies and rules based on data classification and regulatory requirements
- Work with business units to understand data protection needs and tailor DLP solutions
- Generate and maintain regular reports on DLP incidents, trends, and performance
- Support integration of DLP with other security tools and systems (SIEM, CASB, etc.)
- Collaborate with compliance, legal, and IT teams on data governance and risk mitigation
- Document technical procedures, incident response processes, and configuration changes
- Stay updated on data privacy laws and industry best practices for data protection
- Assist in training end-users on data handling and security awareness
