Job Description : Salesman – TMT Bars and Construction Materials
Overview
We are seeking a results-driven Salesman to drive demand and secure orders for TMT bars and construction materials. This role focuses on B2B sales to builders, contractors, developers, and distributors, with an emphasis on Gurgaon and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and convert new business opportunities in the construction sector.
- Build and maintain relationships with developers, contractors, architects, and material suppliers.
- Present technical advantages of TMT bars (strength, ductility, corrosion resistance) and other construction materials.
- Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline; track activities, opportunities, and closures in the CRM.
- Negotiate terms, prices, delivery schedules, and after-sales service agreements.
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and project teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing to adjust strategies.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets and contribute to revenue growth.
- Collect customer feedback and relay product needs or issues to product / operations teams.
- Maintain accurate records of visits, quotations, and orders; ensure compliance with company policies.
Requirements
1+ years of field sales experience in construction materials, hardware, or related sectors.Strong network with builders, contractors, fabricators, developers, and distributors.Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.Self-motivated, with good time management and organizational abilities.Willingness to travel regionally; residency in or near Gurgaon is preferred.Basic understanding of concrete mixes, steel reinforcement, and construction processes is advantageous.Proficiency with CRM systems and MS Office; ability to generate quotes and reports.What We Offer
