As Director - Ad Monetization, you will own the charter to create a new, sustainable revenue stream by monetizing our vast physical and digital merchant real estate-starting with POS devices, charge slips, and merchant / consumer intelligence layers. This role will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, Data Science, and external ecosystem partners to deliver a robust and ethical ad monetization engine that fits naturally into Pine Labs' Offline Payments business

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and drive the end-to-end ad monetization strategy across Pine Labs' POS infrastructure-focusing on screens, receipts, and merchant-level data-led monetization opportunities.
- Build the right partner ecosystem : ad networks, agencies, media buyers, brand advertisers, and programmatic platforms.
- Prioritize non-intrusive, value-aligned ad formats that amplify the customer / merchant experience while scaling revenue.
- Lead experiments and optimize monetization funnels using deep analytics, user segmentation, targeting models, and A / B testing.
- Collaborate with Engineering & Product to build tech-integrated monetization solutions, balancing feasibility, and scale.
- Launch structured pilots, build monetization playbooks, and evolve a repeatable GTM (go-to-market) framework for merchants and advertisers.
- Set up internal operating cadences to monitor, analyze, and evolve ad performance, fill rates, pricing models, and customer feedback.
- Ensure compliance with privacy, brand safety, and ad regulation norms at every step of execution.
- Hire, coach, and mentor cross-functional team members in a fast-moving Agile environment.
We are looking for someone with :
10-15 years of experience in digital advertising, ad tech, or monetization strategy, ideally within fintech, media, or B2B2C SaaS.Exposure to ad sales, media partnerships, or network onboarding is a plus.Strong working knowledge of programmatic advertising, performance marketing, and first-party data monetization.Experience integrating ad products into consumer or merchant touchpoints (POS, apps, screens, etc.) with sensitivity to UX.A strong product and growth orientation-you understand ad tech but also think like a GM building a P&L.Data-driven mindset, with proficiency in ad performance tools and attribution models.Excellent communication and negotiation skills; proven ability to operate across CXO, product, and commercial teams.Why This Role is Exciting
