The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Linux systems (RedHat, Ubuntu, Debian), with strong troubleshooting skills and a passion for building and maintaining highly available and secure enterprise infrastructure environments.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced Sr. Linux Engineer to join our Managed Services team at SHI | LOCUZ. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Linux systems (RedHat, Ubuntu, Debian), with strong troubleshooting skills and a passion for building and maintaining highly available and secure enterprise infrastructure environments.

Responsibilities

• Handle L3 escalations and client-facing incidents
• Design, manage, and support Linux-based infrastructure environments
• Provide consultative and technical leadership in managing complex IT issues
• Automate operational tasks using scripting (Shell, Python, etc.)
• Implement system security, compliance, and governance best practices
• Monitor system performance, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and ensure 24x7 availability
• Triage technical issues and recommend effective solutions
• Ensure change management processes are followed with minimal disruption
• Represent the team in major incident reviews and vendor escalations
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and foster team development
• Work closely with application vendors and cross-functional IT teams
• Evaluate and onboard new technologies and tools for automation and efficiency
• Interface with ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Autotask) for issue tracking
