Role Overview
The Business Analyst will be responsible for bridging the gap between clients and internal teams by analyzing business needs, documenting requirements, and ensuring smooth project execution. In addition to traditional BA functions, the role includes active involvement in sales activities — nurturing leads, preparing proposals, conducting client meetings, and driving lead conversions to achieve business targets.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis
- Gather, analyze, and document client requirements through meetings, workshops, and discussions.
- Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for the development team.
- Coordinate with project managers, developers to ensure clear understanding of project scope.
- Conduct process mapping, feasibility studies, and gap analysis to recommend solutions.
- Track and report project progress to stakeholders and identify potential risks or bottlenecks.
Sales & Lead Conversion
Identify, qualify, and nurture potential business leads from inbound and outbound channels.Conduct initial discovery calls to understand client pain points, project scope, and budget.Prepare and present tailored business proposals, quotations, and presentations to clients.Collaborate with the technical and estimation teams to develop cost-effective solutions.Maintain and update CRM records with lead status, follow-ups, and conversion details.Follow up proactively with prospects to close deals and achieve monthly conversion targets.Assist in contract negotiation and ensure smooth handover to the project delivery team.Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and potential clients.Act as the primary point of contact for client communications during the pre-sales and project initiation stages.Ensure client satisfaction and identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities.Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field (MBA preferred).2–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Sales Executive, or similar client-facing role.Strong understanding of IT project lifecycles and software development processes.Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.Ability to translate technical concepts into business terms and vice versa.Experience in preparing proposals, SOWs, and cost estimations.Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office Suite.Key Attributes
