Head of Perfumery

Company Description

Sangita Enterprises has traditionally been a supply chain services provider, and now we are also trying to start a perfumery brand based out of Bengaluru, Karnataka. The brand is still in the works as we try to set up a production and R&D team. For this brand, we would like to make sure that we have a strong product on our hands before moving forward with anything.

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Perfume developer and R&D Manager based in Bengaluru, with some flexibility for other kinds of set up depending on the candidate. The candidate will be responsible for leading the creation and formulation of new fragrances, overseeing quality control processes, collaborating with the R&D team to innovate new products, and providing expert guidance on personal care products. Additionally, the role includes managing customer service for the perfume department and supporting sales initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in building perfume from scratch (must have)
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Perfumery, or related field
• Exposure to complex, international perfumes
• Interested in building a perfumery brand from scratch (must have)
• Proficiency in International perfumery safety standards and compliances (preferred)
• Expertise in Research and Development (R&D) for fragrance creation and knowledge of Personal Care products and formulation
• We are looking for someone who can lead the team forward, take initiatives and get the job done
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
