Interventional Radiology Medical Coder

Job descriptionAccurately assign ICD-10-CM CPT and HCPCS codes for Interventional Radiology procedures with complexity Level 1 2 3 exposure. Review clinical documentation to ensure compliance with coding guidelines and payer requirements. Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to clarify documentation and coding queries. Maintain high accuracy and productivity standards while meeting turnaround times. Stay updated on coding regulations payer policies and specialty-specific changes. Certified Professional Coder (CPC) Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or equivalent certification. CIRC Strong knowledge of anatomy physiology and medical terminology related to Interventional Radiology and Oncology. Familiarity with coding softwares of EPIC 3M CAC and electronic health record systems. Oncology coding experience in ICD Diagnosis and Procedure coding Modifiers. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Experience Required :
- Minimum 3 years of coding experience in Interventional Radiology. Surgery coding as additional requirement.
- Oncology specialty coding experience preferred.
