The Job
We are seeking Procurement Specialist Interiors to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and executing the procurement process, ensuring timely delivery of materials, and maintaining accurate records. This role requires a blend of administrative skills, technical understanding of interior materials, and proficiency in essential software.
Key Responsibilities :
Procurement Operations :
Initiate and manage purchase orders (POs) through our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.Coordinate with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate prices, and ensure favorable terms.Track orders and ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules.Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.Inventory and Data Management :
Update and maintain purchase status and follow-ups in Google Sheets.Ensure accuracy and completeness of all procurement-related data.Assist in managing inventory levels and reordering processes.Material Knowledge :
Possess a strong understanding of various interior manufacturing materials, including :
Plywoods : Different grades, types (e.g., BWR, BWP, commercial), and their applications.Solid Woods : Familiarity with various wood species, their properties, and suitability for different furniture and interior components.Hardware : Knowledge of essential hardware components used in interior fabrication (e.g., hinges, drawer slides, handles, fasteners).Administrative Support :
Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management, including arranging columns, highlighting headers, and ensuring proper alignment. Advanced Excel skills are a significant advantage.Assist in preparing reports and documentation related to procurement.Handle general administrative tasks as required to support the purchasing department.The Profile
Requirements :
Qualifications and Skills :
Educational Background : Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.Experience : 1-2 years of experience in a procurement or purchasing role, preferably within the interior design or manufacturing sector.Technical Skills :
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic functions like sorting, filtering, formatting, formulas).Experience with ERP systems for raising purchase orders.Familiarity with Google Sheets for tracking and updates.Domain Knowledge : Demonstrable knowledge of interior materials (plywood, solid wood, hardware) is crucial.Language Proficiency : Fluency in Kannada, Hindi, and English is essential for effective communication with suppliers and internal teams.Soft Skills : Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, strong communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Benefits :
