The Typist is responsible for accurately and efficiently typing documents, correspondence, reports, and other materials as required by the organization. This role demands strong typing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with minimal supervision to meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Type and format various documents including letters, reports, memos, and forms.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in typing with minimal errors.
- Proofread and edit documents for spelling, grammar, and formatting errors.
- Maintain organized records of typed documents and files.
- Assist with data entry and updating electronic databases as needed.
- Follow instructions regarding document content and layout.
- Handle confidential information with discretion.
- Complete typing tasks within the assigned deadlines.
- Support other administrative staff as required.
