The Impact you will have in this role :
The Development family is responsible for creating, designing, deploying, and supporting applications, programs, and software solutions. May include research, new development, prototyping, modification, reuse, re-engineering, maintenance, or any other activities related to software products used internally or externally on product platforms supported by the firm. The software development process requires in-depth subject matter expertise in existing and emerging development methodologies, tools, and programming languages. Software Developers work closely with business partners and / or external clients in defining requirements and implementing solutions. The Software Development Engineer In Test (SDET) role encompasses automation development and execution, functional, and non-functional testing. The SDET role specializes in the design, development, execution, and maintenance of automated tests to ensure the quality of software products. Partners with team members to understand software requirements and execute automated tests that validate the functionality while considering privacy and security requirements
Your Primary Responsibilities :
Apply different software development and testing methodologies, tools, and technologiesDevelop, execute, and maintain automated tests across the delivery lifecycleDevelop applications and construct unit test cases that ensure compliance with functional requirementsFollow design and code standards, contributing to continuous improvement discussionsAlign risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriatelySupport senior team members to implement solutions using software delivery best practicesWork with peers to mature ways of working, contributing to continuous testing within the software delivery processes and integrate automated test with CI / CD pipelinePartner with team members to understand software requirements and design automated tests that validate the functionalityCollaborate with internal and external teams on development, testing, troubleshooting, and improve overall software qualityPrepare, maintain, and execute automated test scriptsMaintain traceability from business requirements through test cases to automated scriptsMaintain test cases / involve in automation approach with stakeholders to ensure comprehensive coverage and acquire feedbackConstruct appropriate end-to-end business scenarios through the application of a broad understanding of business objectives and goalsResponsible for process compliance & associated documentationQualifications :
Minimum of 4 years of related experienceBachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experienceTalents Needed for Success :
Experience in Selenium Java with good hands-on experienceBasic to moderate understanding of SQL for data validation.Experience with Database testing, ETL testing automationExperience with JIRA, Microfocus ALM, Bitbucket, Git, and JenkinsExposure to one or more programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Angular.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Experience with Snowflake data warehouse is an added advantageExperienced in Agile / Waterfall, onsite / offshore work model and coordinationIn depth knowledge of the software implementation lifecycle (specifically the testing model, methodology, and processes),Experience with ETL testing for tools like Talend or Informatica, DataStage - added advantageExperience with Business Intelligence tools testing like Power BI, AWS QuickSight – added advantageDetailed understanding of smoke testing, black-box, and non-black box testing, as well as regression testingRequires the ability to work well with both business clients and technical teams and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Actual salary is determined based on the role, location, individual experience, skills, and other considerations.
