Job Description : QA Engineer ( Functional, Automation, API & DB Testing)

About the Role :

We are looking for a detail-oriented and skilled QA Engineer with expertise in Functional Testing, Automation Testing, API Testing, and Database Testing.

The ideal candidate will ensure product quality by designing, executing, and maintaining robust test cases, frameworks, and automation scripts.

You will work closely with development teams to identify issues early and deliver high-quality, reliable software products.

Key Responsibilities :

Perform Functional Testing to validate application features against business requirements.
Design, develop, and execute Automation Test scripts using modern testing frameworks.
Conduct API Testing (REST / GraphQL) to verify functionality, reliability, and performance.
Execute Database Testing by validating schemas, writing queries, and checking data integrity.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders for test planning and defect management.
Ensure test coverage, defect tracking, and reporting across the SDLC.
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and automation practices.
Participate in regression testing, performance validation, and release certification.

Must-Have Skills :

Strong hands-on experience in Functional Testing across web and mobile applications.

Proficiency in Automation Testing using tools like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent.

Expertise in API Testing with tools like Postman, Rest Assured, or similar.

Hands-on experience in Database Testing (SQL & NoSQL) with ability to write complex queries.

Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, and defect life cycle.

Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Good-to-Have Skills :

Knowledge of CI / CD integration (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.) for automated test execution.

Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, etc.).

Experience with test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr).

Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments.

Qualifications :

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

5+ years of experience in QA / testing roles.
