Role Overview :
The Assistant Category Head will support the Category Head in driving sales and revenue within the Education category.
This role requires strong client engagement skills, market understanding, and the ability to contribute to innovative advertising solutions and business growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities :
- Support the Category Head in managing and driving the education sales team.
- Execute space selling strategies and achieve assigned revenue targets.
- Identify and tap into new business opportunities and untapped market segments.
- Assist in developing innovative advertising solutions tailored for key accounts.
- Maintain and strengthen client relationships to ensure repeat business and growth.
- Actively contribute to market share expansion by acquiring new clients.
- Engage with clients on-ground regularly, as this is a field-intensive role.
Qualifications & Skills :
Bachelor's degree in any discipline.6-8 years of proven sales experience, preferably in media, advertising, or related sectors.Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working independently.Good understanding of media and advertising trends.Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).Preference for candidates from print media industry; those with an educational / academic sales background may also be considered(ref : iimjobs.com)
