Position : Direct Tax - Senior Executive / Specialist

Experience : 1-4years

Job location : Mumbai

Role & responsibilities :

• Preparation of Tax Audit Transfer Pricing Income Tax Returns and other statutory forms based on detailed analysis of applicability of clauses sections etc and information through effective coordination with various functions
• Preparing submissions in response to Notices from India Undertaking detailed study of case history legal research on issued involved and preparation of appeal submissions to be submitted before Assessing Officer CITA DRP and ITAT and Overseas Tax Authorities
• Providing consultancy on TDS applicability and withholding tax implications on overseas payments made by Indian entities after analyzing treaty benefits Undertaking in depth research in order to provide consultancy on certain MA transactions capital gains issues corporate structuring etc
• Analysis of the tax implications of the certain incentives given to employees and advising internal stakeholders HR Payroll teams on the tax effective structure for employees on a need basis Keep oneself and team updated on tax reforms in India and keep team members and superiors updated on impact on LTIM measures if any to be taken
• Effectively liaising with external and internal stakeholders Indian LT corporate DT and other internal functions of LTIM To represent the organization externally on tax related matters with conceptual clarity that would enable to justify the stands taken by the organization
• To understand current tax processes effectively connect business processes with tax function apply tools and process improvements to tax function
• Taking initiative to automate tasks to make the tax function more effective and efficient
• To identify analyze and highlight the areas or events with potential tax risks Ability to suggest strategies to manage and mitigate the risk
