Job Title : Demand Planning & Forecasting Specialist

Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Demand Planning and Forecasting professional responsible for driving accurate demand forecasts, ensuring optimal inventory levels, and supporting business objectives through effective planning processes. The ideal candidate will work closely with sales, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure alignment between market demand and supply capabilities.

Key Responsibilities :

Develop, maintain, and improve demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and business insights.

Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain teams to consolidate inputs and validate forecasts.

Lead monthly demand review meetings to communicate forecast accuracy, risks, and opportunities.

Analyze market trends, product lifecycle stages, and promotions to refine demand projections.

Ensure inventory optimization by aligning forecasts with production and procurement planning.

Monitor forecast accuracy metrics (MAPE, bias, accuracy %) and implement corrective actions.

Work on statistical forecasting models and continuously improve forecasting processes and tools.

Provide insights and reports to management to support data-driven decision-making.

Identify demand risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize stockouts or excess inventory.

Required Skills & Experience :

4 10 years of experience in Demand Planning, Forecasting, or Supply Chain Planning .

Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Advanced Analytics tools, or ERP systems (SAP APO, IBP, Oracle Demantra, etc.) .

Experience with forecasting software / tools (such as Anaplan, Kinaxis, o9 Solutions, or similar).

Excellent understanding of demand drivers, market trends, and supply chain dynamics .

Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Detail-oriented with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Operations, or related field .

Certification in APICS CPIM, CSCP, or similar will be an added advantage.

Experience in FMCG, Manufacturing, Retail, or Consumer Goods sectors preferred.
