The DAV Group - Chennai , functioning under the aegis of Tamil Nadu Arya Samaj Educational Society was established in 1970 at Gopalapuram in Chennai with just 50 students. The Group today, caters to over 40,000 students across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. It has a staff of 1500 plus which includes 1,200 teachers. Four of our branches have been consistently ranked amongst top 15 schools in the country.

In addition to K-12 schooling, DAV has recently ventured into Higher Education with DAV-SMK Fomra College of Arts & Science at Kelambakkam, Chennai.

In this context, we would be interested in recruiting suitable candidates for the position of Estate Manager for Vedic Vidya Kendra at Puducherry.

Job Description

• To manage the maintenance of the school buildings and grounds, ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of the infrastructure
• Managing all Facilities and Maintenance activities.
• Overseeing the daily administrative activities
• Managing & supervising multi-disciplinary teams of staff including cleaning, housekeeping, maintenance, ground and security staff to get required tasks done on time and effectively
• Ensuring safety of people and equipment through an integrated Safety Management & Preventive Maintenance approach which focuses on people, infrastructure, equipment, process, facilities and technology.
• Conduct risk assessments periodically and enforce preventative measures.
• Coordinate all transportation activities and vendors to ensure timely and safe transportation.
• Assist with Asset Management and infrastructure work, as required
• Liaison with government agencies and external stakeholders for various purposes as needed from time to time
• Ensure that minor repairs of civil and electrical nature are carried out at the earliest.
• Ensure that electricity and water supply lines, fittings such as tubes, bulbs, fans, switchboard, taps, etc. remain operational all the time.
• Ensure that plumbing and electrical fittings and fixtures are maintained and in working condition.

Salary shall commensurate with experience, as applicable
