Production Manager - Jewellery

Job descriptionOversee the procurement and inventory management of raw materials to ensure timely availability for production. Monitor raw material usage and stock levels, ensuring optimal inventory to avoid shortages or overstock situations. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the quality and timely delivery of raw materials. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency and reduce costs. Monitor and evaluate production processes to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and efficiency standards. Conduct regular inspections and audits of production facilities to maintain high operational standards. Lead, mentor, and motivate the production team to achieve production targets and maintain high levels of performance. Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and innovation. Maintain continuous communication with merchandisers, suppliers, and production team members to ensure smooth workflow. Conduct regular follow-ups to track the progress of production activities and address any issues or delays promptly. Prepare and present production reports to senior management, highlighting key performance metrics and areas for improvement. Utilize advanced Production Planning and Control (PPC) techniques to optimize production schedules and resource allocation. Analyze production data and metrics to forecast future production needs and adjust plans accordingly. Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping of production activities and outcomes. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team. Excellent planning and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail. Proficiency in Production Planning and Control (PPC) and inventory management techniques. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement. Proficiency in using production management software and tools.
