Role & responsibilities
- Designing and developing EV chargers (AC, DC fast chargers) and related components.
- Collaborating with hardware and software teams to integrate smart charging features.
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards (ISO 15118, OCPP, IEC 61851, UL, etc.).
- Working on power electronics, thermal management, and enclosure design.
- Conducting electrical, thermal, and mechanical testing of EV chargers.
- Developing test plans to validate hardware, firmware, and communication protocols.
- Performing failure analysis and troubleshooting to improve product reliability.
- Supporting manufacturing teams with design for manufacturability (DFM).
- Ensuring quality control processes and compliance with safety regulations.
- Working with suppliers for component selection and validation.
- Implementing and testing communication protocols like OCPP, Modbus, and CAN.
- Ensuring secure data transfer between EV chargers, cloud platforms, and mobile apps.
- Collaborating with marketing and sales teams to define product specifications.
- Conducting market research on EV charging trends and technologies.
- Gathering user feedback to improve charger performance and user experience.
- Ensuring products meet local and international safety and efficiency regulations.
- Staying updated with government policies, incentives, and mandates related to EV charging.
Preferred candidate profile
Bachelor Of Technology (B.Tech) in Electronics & CommunicationExperience with firmware development (C, C++, Python) for EV chargers.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Understanding of product lifecycle management (PLM).Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.Ability to work with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, mechanical, compliance).Skills Required
