Roles and Responsibilities
Job Summary
Use CFD tools to simulate airflow and thermal simulations to evaluate heat flow, temperature, condensation and humidity
Develop & deliver state-of-the-art NPI design solutions to improve the aero performance and durability using CFD
Perform Thermal Management / Optimization using Star CCM, ANSA
Perform analytical calculations on reduced or simplified math models to make designing and testing more efficient
Correlate physical tests results (Dynamometer lab ) with CFD prediction
Participate in developing new CFD methodologies tackling current and future design problems
Developing and solving, analytically if possible, numerically if necessary, simplified flow models and general partial differential equations
Generating 3D solid models from scratch and defeaturing CAD models supplied by external design groups and producing quality computational meshes
Writing technical reports that can be understood by non-experts for use in disseminating analysis results throughout the company
Key Skills Required :
Perform the checks appropriately
Post process the results and prepare the analysis finding
Air path model development and simulation
Working with Product Design Engineers to determine component interactions, governing physics, and desired results
Geometry preparation from 3D CAD
Creating effective mesh definitions balancing solve time and quality
Post Processing results into clear and concise formats
Software Tools :
Basics theory : Knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid flow theory, heat transfer and related analyses methods
Pre & Post processing : Star CCM+, Ansys fluent
Optimization : ISIGHT, MODERFRONITIER, HEEDS
CFD Tools : Star CCM+, Ansys fluent, Amesim
Scripting : TCL / tk / Matlab / Python / VB scripts-Excel etc
