One of our B2C portfolio companies is hyper-scaling, and they are now looking to hire a Category Director to own one of their key categories in the business.
Responsibilities
- Define targets and deliver revenue growth, contribution margin, and strong returns
- Decide which campaign dates to prioritize across the year and then turn them into quarterly and monthly category plans
- Create bundles and promotions (price points, value-adds, packaging) that are authentic, differentiated, and user driven
- Co-create briefs, segmentation, and channel plans and set success metrics for those channels
- Set clear guardrails for user experience including transparency, communication, and on-time delivery to raise ratings / NPS.
- Institutionalize SOPs, SLAs, and a go-live checklist for content accuracy and fulfillment readiness
- Lead a high-performing category team; set goals, reviews, and a rigorous experimentation cadence.
