Sheet Metal Laser Cutting Operator

Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Cutting Operator to join our sheet metal fabrication team. The ideal candidate will operate CNC laser cutting machines to produce precision-cut metal components, ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate laser cutting machines (e.g., Trumpf, Amada, Bystronic) for sheet metal processing.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine cutting requirements.
• Select appropriate cutting programs, fixtures, and materials for each job.
• Adjust machine settings including laser beam focal point, speed, and power for optimal cutting.
• Perform dimensional inspections using calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
• Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of laser equipment.
• Identify and report defective materials or machine issues to supervisors.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with safety protocols.
