About The Role
India is one of the top 3 markets globally for Shuttle, and the India Ops team is responsible for launching and scaling the product in India. With the Shuttle product and engineering teams being based in India, this provides a unique opportunity to drive global innovation in Shuttle products from India. This role is based in Gurgaon and reports directly to the HCV GM for MEA & India. You will be leading the Uber Shuttle business (currently operating in Delhi and Kolkata) and be responsible for its performance. Strong business acumen is required to help set the strategy, but more importantly, to run seamless day-to-day operations together with the supply, network, and growth teams.
What The Candidate Will Do
- Operations : Scale existing cities in India. Work closely with the Global central supply, growth, and network teams to drive performance and growth in your cities.
- P&L Ownership : Manage the budget and incentives of the fast-growing low-cost portfolio.
- Competition : Understand market trends and gather competitive intelligence to inform strategic decisions on market positioning.
- External stakeholder management : Work with local partners (government, press, fleet partners, etc.) to set the business up for scale in your cities.
- Program / Project Management : Collaborate with Global teams to coordinate initiatives, share takeaways, and streamline Ops efforts.
- Analyze data : Keep a tab on the metrics and delve into the rider & driver data to validate your hypothesis and make data-driven decisions.
What The Candidate Will Need
8+ years of robust work experience in strategy consulting or investment banking, along with a strong product understanding and experience in scaling products and teams across different cities.3+ years of experience leading a team - preferably encompassing both strategy and operations functions.Availability to travel across the different cities.Experience in designing, implementing, and analyzing strategic investments with a track record of successfully driving daring growth.Can-do attitude; Expansion will be a lean team, and responsibilities may fall out of one's exact job description; we are looking for a leader who is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done.Balance attention to detail with swift execution - we need to do things quickly, and we need to do them well. Balancing those can be exciting, and this should be a strength.Skills Required
