Delivery Head / Technical Director - Data Engineering & Cloud Analytics

Job descriptionLead and mentor a cross-functional team of 20-30 engineers, architects, and analysts across geographies. Act as the technical point of contact for at least 2 or more concurrent clients, ensuring successful outcomes and satisfaction. Drive governance using Agile / Scrum methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, and Leadership : Guide teams in designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data pipelines using PySpark, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and related tools. Review architectural designs and enforce engineering best practices, data security, and compliance. Work with analytics teams to deliver dashboards and insights using Power BI or Management : Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders (internal and client-side), product owners, and executive sponsors to align on strategic priorities. Background in software / application development and transitioned into Big Data / Cloud space 14+ years of experience in IT, with 6+ years in Big Data and Cloud Analytics Python, PySpark, SQL Databricks & Azure ecosystem (ADF, Synapse, Azure Storage) Data Warehousing concepts and Data Lake Architecture Exposure to Snowflake (preferred) Proficient in using Power BI for analytics and reporting Proven track record in delivering multiple large-scale analytics projects Experience handling delivery teams of 20-30+ members Excellent stakeholder communication and leadership skills Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate or Professional Agile Scrum Master or Project Management certifications (nice to have) Strategic mindset with hands-on technical depth Excellent leadership and people management capabilities Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Work with a high-impact data-driven organization Lead innovative Big Data and Cloud initiatives for global clients Be part of a growth-oriented leadership team

About the Role :
We are looking for a seasoned Delivery Head / Technical Director with a strong development background who has transitioned into Big Data and Cloud-based Data Analytics. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in PySpark, Databricks, Azure, and data engineering platforms, with proven success in managing large-scale teams and multiple client engagements. Certification in Azure and Databricks and experience working in Agile / Scrum environments is a strong advantage.
