Job Title : Mechanical Engineer – Piping Design & Stress Analysis
Location : Pune, India (with initial integration period in Spain – up to 4 months)

Our client is expanding their engineering team to support a major plant expansion project. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate on high-impact projects and help build long-term engineering capability within the team. The role begins with an integration period in Spain, where you’ll align with central engineering teams on tools, processes, and expectations. After this period, you will continue working from Pune with full ownership of deliverables and a clear mandate to drive the project forward.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret P&IDs and 3D layout drawings to develop accurate piping routes
Perform piping stress calculations and pipe support analysis
Model piping systems in AutoCAD and Plant 3D
Prepare pre-manufacturing isometric drawings for fabrication
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Participate in online management meetings and schedule reviews
Own and deliver assigned objectives with accountability for quality and timelines
Contribute to the development of scalable engineering capability
Adapt to evolving project requirements with professionalism
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Plant 3D
Experience with piping stress analysis tools (e.g., CAESAR II, AutoPIPE)
Strong knowledge of piping codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, etc.)
Ability to interpret P&IDs, layout drawings, and isometrics
Excellent communication skills and cultural sensitivity
